SMOOTH GEL ®
While the One Bite is the cornerstone of the Advanced Whitening System, the rest of the system is no less advanced or impressive. The whitening agent Smooth Gel was developed in July 2008 and is revolutionary in its own right. Smooth Gel is the first whitening gel eliminates the carbopol suspension agents commonly found in whitening gels since 1991. In early 2008, we successfully removed the petroleum-based Carbopol fillers from the whitening gel thus improving whitening results and raising the PH-level to an enamel safe neutral. This breakthrough reduces the harmful side effects caused by these petroleum-based fillers and increases the whitening power.
NUTRILOCK ®
Developed in fall of 2008, NutriLock re-mineralization paste is a specially designed finishing product used immediately after whitening. White Smile USA developed this unique product to address customer’s concerns regarding sensitivity and immediate re-staining after whitening. The results of this R&D is the patent pending NutriLock paste, which addresses and minimizes the immediate re-staining of teeth (commonly known as the rebound effect), tooth sensitivity from prolonged whitening, and the minor irritation of the gums. The active ingredients in NutriLock that are beneficial include ACP (amorphous calcium phosphate) for locking the enamel layer by filling the dentinal tubules with vitamins and minerals essential to healthy teeth (blocking out new stains from forming), nano-sized titanium to reduce tooth sensitivity (tooth de-sensitizing agent), Vitamin E to comfort minor gum irritation, and lastly Xylitol a well known cavity fighter.
